Saturday was really nice here in Montreal. Went for a stroll with my girls to the record store, Yay for me!!
Ended up at Beatnicks. Cool little place, reasonably priced, quality stuff. Ended up getting Wes Montgomery’s Movin’ Wes.

personal note:
As a teenager I read a lot of guitar magazines, spent a lot of my time reading interviews. Wes Montgomery was often cited as an influence. I had always wanted to listen to him, it just never ended up working out. Fast forward 15 years or so, I ended up with a few Cd’s of his and was just so knocked out, and kept listening to them over and over. I use his finger technique here and there. Makes me sound half decent…

Saturday I picked up Moving Wes on vinyl . I’ve just dropped the needle on this album and have been istantly chilledout…. all warm a fuzzy in here…
